We booked first class flights to Christchurch from UK, and it was a treat! Of course the experience was way different compared to flying economy. As such, we highly recommend that, whenever you can, fly first class! It’s something that you likely won’t forget.

We got our first class tickets from a travel agency in Milton Keynes. We were provided lots of benefits from when we got to the airport up to our landing. These range from conveniences to actual luxuries.

At our departure airport, we had priority check-in. We were also able to board earlier than the other passengers.

Inside the first class area, our leg space was enormous, and so was the overhead compartments. Our seats even recline enough for us to get a good night’s sleep. There were complimentary meals, and the meals were gourmet-level and not just microwave-dinner quality.

A fellow passenger talked to us and said that, when he booked first class flights to Penang, the amenities were even more luxurious. First class passengers have access to a lounge where they can get free meals and different choices of drinks.

Others even have free toiletries that you can use in-flight, in a restroom that is definitely not cramped.

Upon landing, we were also given priority, completing our first class experience.

We had to pay around 200 dollars more for our first class tickets. Was it worth it? Most definitely, especially as our flight took almost a day and we had nothing to do but eat, sit down, or sleep.

Next month, we have scheduled flights to Alice Springs from London, and I am seriously considering flying first class again, budget willing. It’s a luxury that I can’t seem to pass up, and I am looking forward to what perks await.
